Welcome to Ayelet David’s Lab homepage!
We develop biologically compatible therapeutic polymers and nanomedicines that can target specific cells and tissues in the body. Our primary aim is to deliver drugs to specific sites in order to treat cancer, cardiovascular diseases, liver diseases, and other life-threatening illnesses.
In the lab, we use different scientific disciplines (polymer chemistry, cellular and molecular biology, pharmacology, biomedical engineering) to rationally design polymers that can bind strategic molecules that underline the disease phenotype, or alternatively develop polymers that can change their properties at the target tissue in response to internal- or external stimuli. Our international team works on translational research projects for drug development.
